There are great sources of free photos you can use on your website, additionally you can purchase premium photos for as low as $1.

If you already had a chance to create a theme with Templateo, you may have noticed we integrated one of most famous free photos provider, Unsplash
Unsplash is built-in the Templateo's interface, you can search with keywords to find photos you need, just click and photo is ready to use in your design.
Pixabay
Another great source of free photos is Pixabay, where you can not only find great photos, but also illustrations and videos.
Both of the above sources, Unsplash and Pixabay allow using their photos on websites, but also on website templates, you can attribute author of photo you used, but it's not required.
Premium Photos
Additionally, if you're looking for some specific type of photos and can't find them with any of the free providers above, you can try to purchase premium photos. Always make sure you read the license before you use a photo (including the free ones), most of the premium royalty-free photo providers will not allow using their photos in a website template you're going to redistribute: if you're building a website for your own use or for a customer, it's allowed, commercial use. With a single photo purchase, you may be allowed to use it on a single website only.

Did you know your "photos" may not have to be made by a real photographer? Today's technology can create professional looking photos of people who do not exist in reality. A great sample is cgfaces.com, you have to give it a try! Additionally, it's allowed to use those photos in templates: attribution is not required, but as always appreciated.
